Engine removal question

I am about to remove the engine on my 2003 XB9R because I have to split the block to work on the tranny. Its locked up.
I am 1 bolt away from removing it. I have a scissor jack supporting the bottom of the swing arm, a jack supporting the engine and the tail is being supported by straps attached to the roof joist.
It looks like I will have to lower the motor all the way to the surface of my table in order to remove it from the bike. That means I will have to use something other than my jack because its too tall.
Once I get that last rear swingarm pivot bolt out is the engine manageable for one guy to pull it out or is it a 2 person job? It looks heavy. I heard it weighs about 170lbs.

I've never done this but off the top of my head I'd think it'd be easiest to leave the engine on a jack and lift the bike off of it(use the joists and crank the bike upward from the tail and triple tree).

+1 to that^^
Haven't had to do it going to soon and that's how I planned on doing it.

it would be 100 times easier with 2 people. ive done it on my own but its honestly a pain in the ass.

when i did it i got it to bottom out the scissor jack then i lifted the frame... it weighs like nothing with out the engine in it.

oh and its heavy. but only picking it up once its up u can walk for miles holding it. just a tough dead lift up to the work bench.

leave the engine on the jack and take everything else off separately. tires, forks, frame, swing arm, then you can use some ratcheting straps to lift the engine onto a table if you like. it doesn't take two people.

just remember to unplug all of the wires before you lift off the frame.

I've done it many many times easily

LOL this got very off topic....

I am a whiskey drinker. I had alcohol poisoning in HS from vodka and haven't drunk it since. I had some the other day with some ginger ale and rather liked it. Maybe I'll give it a shot...

haha...can't say I like that drink... I have crown royal(wife bought me as a celebration gift) in the house and captain morgan (bought for a tiramsu recipe I made for my wife's bday) and nothing else. It's either of them on the rocks or mixed with ginger ale and I prefer them mixed. Usually I have in stock an 18 pack of either PBR, Coors, or a 750 mL of JD, Canadian Club, or Jim Beam, or some other typical rendition of whiskey...

I pulled the motor today. Super simple. I just lowered it to the table and pulled it out through the side.
I am know trying to figure out how to get the remaining 2 bolts that hold the rear isolator bushing on the motor. They are recessed slightly under the bushing and I don't have an allen wrench that will fit. I may need to buy a 1/4" cheapo and cut it down with my cut off saw.
