Ok I have an 07 Firebolt XB12R and last week I had the 10k service done at the dealership, I dont know what they do at that service but I told them to give me platinum sparkplugs and use synthetic. the next day I did the breather re-route. a week later I take it back to get new brakes and new front tire and about an hour after leaving the dealer I am riding and the bike starts sputtering at 3k-4k rpms in every gear. almost felt like it was running out of gas or it was gonna shut off. but I checked my fuel and im ok... has this ever happen to anyone else?? I hope I dont have to take it back to the dealer. they will try to rape my pockets. [sad]

No I have not, I do not know where they are located. I will have to refer to my manual for that. maybe buy one of those Fuel Enhancing/Cleaning products???

If your going to buy an fuel additive get seafoam its like a liquid swiss army knife. oh and look for a recent spark plug write up thread it has the best way to remove the plugs

OK so I havent been able to ride my bike since March 2nd, I want to give up [sad] I have taken it back to the Dealer who did my 10k mile service 3 times and they said they found no problem. I had to take it to another HD/Buell dealer to see if they could find anything wrong. The guy said that my spark plug wires were crimped really bad and I needed to get them replaced. he recrimped them for me and I ordered new plugs but they arent in yet. I took the bike home over the weekend but after the 2nd day the problem came back and its getting worse. Does anyone feel as though badly crimped spark plug wires would cause the bike to miss-fire and barely run when I get the bike warmed up?

When I read the post the first thing that came to mind was "plug wires arcing". Order some new ones from ASB. Mine did the same thing, felt like I dropped a cylinder. Yes, old plug wires can cause major problems.

ok, thanks GatorBuell, I just read Xbears9s thread about arcing of the voltage regulators and his problem was exaclty like mine so I am gonna take it to the dealer and hopefully I can get my bike running the way it should be for once :(
