so i just bought my XB9S from my local dealer for 3k with 17k miles on the ODO. it is all stock except for a D&D exhaust and i wanted to know if i will need a tune for the engine because i am assuming that it's running wayyyyyyy the hell too rich right now. i was putting my rizomas off of my blast on this morning and my dad wanted to hear the engine so he fired it up and revved it quite a bit and it was dumping some black smoke out the exhaust. it also doesnt like to start when its cold unless you gun the gas on cranking and the dealer had to change the plugs because they were fouled. anyone here in illinois that i could get my bike tuned at to make it run better? it has plenty of power, but im guessing my MPGs will suffer quite a bit from lack of proper fuel management.

Im not entirely sure where you are located or if these places will tune it for you, but neilsens in lake villa or monster powersport in wauconda might.

im in Big Rock. about 10min from Aurora or 45min from chicago. ill check out the Lake Villa dealer. Thanks! :)

I Live in Elgin and have a few buell ridin buddys in Dekalb. Fox river HD in St.Charles Has always been good to me and my xb12s But jus t some small warr.work but i would check them out first. The HD shop in Dekalb sucks and are rude about anything to do with a buell.

Fox River HD is where i bought i bike from!! :D and yes the shop in dekalb IS extremely rude. i went in there to buy rocker box gaskets for my blast and when they heard i had a buell, they wouldnt sell any parts to me. i even said "well i have a sportster too, and it needs gaskets" and the lady was like "i dont believe you. we do not deal with buell in any way." but Jim at Fox River HD was super helpful and so was the big manager guy.

this guy in the middle was the final manager that i did all my paperwork with.

this is actually the bike i bought, though i have no clue why they havent removed it from their site yet. they are gonna have a LOT of unhappy callers!

i really liked the staff there, but they are not the sharpest knives in the drawer. they insisted that the bike had a "STOCK" exhaust on it, even though it said "D&D" right on the side.

Ok lets do this Fornarelli motosports in Elgin Alex is the owner and knows All bikes very well. They also have a dyno there. I have been looking at that XB9 you bought for a few months its a yellow one. Look under the seat and up by the seat lock is the ecm marked race use only and is it fitted with a K&N filter.

as far as i can tell, the ECM is NOT a race ecm and i have not had the plastics off yet so i am not sure if it has a K&N

Nice bike! now all it needs is some new bars haha. i just installed my crossroads and am super happy with them!

i was actually thinking some black Protaper bars. im digging the whole street fighter look. if i wanted a crotch rocket, i woulda bought a CBR! and "octopus" where are you located? i would be interested in getting my bike done.

Everything I do is 100% remote, so you can be anywhere and still get your bike tuned. If you're interested, e-mail me through the site ASAP and we'll get you on the wait list.
