33,000 redline would cool for a jap bike, but not in a Buell. I think I can safely speak for all of us Buell owners when saying that I love my V twin and it was one of the reasons I bought the bike. It's not a whiny sissy pansy 4 cylinder. It's a man's bike, and everything about it says so. The cooling fins, the exposed header, the obnoxiously loud fuel pump, the loapy idle, and the headlights that are so mean looking they actually say to you "what the **** are you looking at?". I like my v twin, and I would never trade it for a rotary!

Dave--I would suggest trademarking that entire post before Buell snatches it up and puts it on a poster. I already own a Buell and after reading that I want to go out and buy another one.

Dont forget about the loud azz fan that scares motorists when you stop for fuel!!

Is thegenius gonna chime in here lol

Now that we are all in agreement that vtwins are the ONLY motor for a buell.....heres a question///

you guys think that buell will continue to use harley based vtwins in the future? or do you think the future of buell is with the new rotax technology? and what do you think they should do?

let the posts begin ;)

Lose the Harley motor - you'll Lose the "Growl"

Come on! Who doesn't want a bike that makes a very satisfying "whirring" noise.

I for one welcome our new vacuum sounding motorcycle overlords.

vrod is not anymore powerful than the 1203, and barely larger. but it sure does look bigger. 1800cc? wow! lol. i dont even think harley makes a bike that big, maybe im wrong tho. i think it it stops at like 1690cc like the the tri-glide. i know some custom chopper motor companies go bigger. :) [up]

NO, some retarded kid got bored and posted a whole bunch of crap about "new rotary powered buell". He is full of ****, hence when the backlash started he disappeared.

Anyways, I like the growl, but at the same time it is nice for Buell to be even more elite in that they no longer solely depend on modified harley motors anymore. I'd love for them to keep building with rotax and develop their own style of motor. Also 1800cc and straight pipes is anti Buell.

NO LOW END AND WAY TOO BIG A MOTOR TO PROPERLY DISTRIBUTE THE WEIGHT FOR RIPPING THROUGH THE TWISTIES!!!

I think that the 1125 motor was a shot in the dark, but I think they were using an RPG because they actually got close to the target. Plenty of torque, flickability through the turns and a decent sound. Sure it needs some work, but I'd love to see where they go with it over the next few years.
