Thanks Dave - just looked and saw it too..I see he said thanks to HD. That must have been hard to do....

Yeah I got made respect for a guy that doesn't give up on his dream and puts his feelings and passion out there.

i wonder if he has a warehouse full of xb race pipes somewere or maybe they're comming out with a new one.

I'm hoping he can get back to building bikes in a couple of years. I have a 12 year old son who wants to buy a new Buell the day he's old enough to get his license. Hopefully, Erik will be building production sportbikes by that point.

this may inspire eric to develope new inovations& patents-hopefully he's learned his lesson with HD-imagine what the next gen will be like-

Clearly,it made no sense to drop the newest&best line of bikes that were toping the charts.I can't help but wonder if there's something we all don't know behind the dreadfull decision to drop Buell-was really all about the money &keeping HD from going under?

Maybee, but from what I was seeing ,Buell was selling bikes & winning races.

It could be as simple as supply and demand
Part of creating demand is good marketing. Buell was probably the worst marketed brand name in motorcycling in the last 30 years.

Icepop77-Maybee bad marketing but anybody paying attention was turning their head at the product racing by.

Canada xb-that's a sticky question, the bast at what?
If you mean all around all points-ducati Is way up there-
But honestly I do think it's Buell -that's why I own two of em-
It all comes down to personal taste!

@Bolt: enthusiasts (like us) have made that purchase based on "race day". The 20-something buyer who walks into a dealer with the itching for a sportbike will only buy a Kawayamasuzonda because that's what they see on TV and that's also what you can find in a typical non-HD dealer. Put Buells in one of those dealers and I guarantee those 20-something guys will buy up a Buell every now and then instead and following the herd on their Japanese inline 4s. That's how I would market Buell, "Break away from the herd, be different".
