what's your thoughts on buying a ex demo bike, my fist thought is abuse, not run correctly, maybe cold engine ridden hard, ect.
but low ks @ cheaper price is also appealing, whats your thoughts?

Benefits of a new bike but at the cost if a used one???

I say buy.

Yeah the brake in period may have not been the best but as long as you check the bike over and all is well, what else can you really ask for, not much in my book.

not run correctly, fist thought

my bad, not run "in" correctly... & "First thoughts"

crap engresh! maybe I should go back to school!

oh and thanks for replies!

i ride one. bought it with 300 miles on it. pretty much brand new with a very good price, got a two year warranty from the day i purchased it. so far i have had no issues. i say go for it.

look at it this way, most engine start running before the dealer does some explaining or the rider waits a bit to look & hear the bike.

...your oil has heated up a bit...

the rider goes off, warms tires a bit, gets the feeling of the bike.

...oil is nice and warm...

the rider tests the bike going reving the engine, getting on it nice and hard, does some low speed high gear accelerations.

...see break-in topic...

;)

Went to the Harley Demo yesterday. On the FIRST ride a guy dropped a ulley before he even got out of the parking lot. I asked the demo guy how often that happens, "all the time" was the reply. Just so ya know, if you're buying a bike from the demo rides chances are it's been down and fixed. Wayne
