1st. Im thinking that i might want to do the open airbox mod and a K&N to go along with my race pipe on my 04 XB12R. Once these mods are done it will stay that way. I understand that EMCspy is my best bet for the programing, BUT im an idiot when it comes to anything other than plug and play with electronics. Is their anyone in or around Dallas, TX that would be able to do this for me, or teach me how so i dont Screw up my ECM.

2nd. Also would a race ecm handle these 3 mods or will it struggle with them?

3rd. how much does a standard tps reset cost at a dealer?

4th. Is an 04 able to be reflashed?? Sorry to jump in but I've been wondering? I thought I read on here a while back it was only 05's and newer??

1st - Its not that hard. If I can do it anyone can.

2nd - It will just fine with the race ecm but don't purchase one (see #4)

3rd - I believe that the going rate for a TPS reset from the dealer is around $60...and with ecmspy it takes about 5 minutes at most

4th - 03-07 can be reflashed using ecmspy. Find a race map and put the fuel values on your stock ecm and you'll be good to go. However, I would suggest a custom tune to your bike which sounds much harder then it actually is.

well i just downloaded ecmspy just to see what it looked like and well.............i cant read it....its all forgin language, did i do somthing wrong?

nevermind i fixed the language issue.:D

where would i download the new programs at?

No you just have to change it. Let me look it up I can't remember off the top of my head. in the mean time be reading this...

ECMspy guide

Edit: Found this on another thread: There is only one version and it is in German by default. To change it to English click on the Options tab (looks like a wrench overlapping a gear) and then select Program. Within the next screen you should be able to make out the selection from German to English.

wow thats alot of reading............i wont lie i made it to about pg45 and started thinking that just buying a race ecm might be my best option, but it still dosent fix the need for a tps rest.
