What is the loudest exhaust that anyone has heard on a lightning? I have heard the jardine which wasnt bad but only drummer and hawk on youtube. I am leaning towards the drummer II any suggestions?

Have not heard many in person, not many Buell's up in Canada, Ive seen a few post claiming the d&d is loudest. Have looked at the exahust shootout HERE?

I have a Jardine on mine and I think it's slowly making me deaf. I can barely hear out of my right ear due to years of playing live music but recently it's gotten really bad. Ever since getting my bike. It makes my whole helmet resonate on the freeway.

I have also heard that the D&D is the loudest. My Jardine is pretty loud but for those that have one and want to quiet it down they do sell the quiet module for the exit for about 30 bucks. I'm not sure how much it dampens the sound though.

D&D is loud alright (but not obnoxiously so like some open-pipe Harley choppers). A "good" loud. Good tone, character.

I just recently put the D&d on my bike. It's pretty damn loud. It will wake the babies for sure. I will say it is not as loud as a sportster 1200 with VH Shortshots (if you have heard that sound). Shoot me your number via PM and I'll send you a video I took with my phone in my pocket. Sounds good when listened to with headphones rather than phone/computer speakers.

Pretty interesting repot from American Sportbike. One thing mentioned in the report is rust. My Buell Race is beginning to rust pretty bad. Hate to think of a process of finding tradesmen to remove the coating, and put another coating back on without ruining it. I spend the weekend with WD40 and 3M pads, OK results but not as good as I wanted, don't have much additional time to throw at it.

Special Ops comes up pretty good in the report, although any of the good ones seem to be hard to find and spendy as all hell.

Just to speak the obvious: You always have to keep in mind that the sound, especially something as loud as cycle exhaust, from any video taken indoors is virtually useless in terms of accurate comparison to other videos. The spaces can be different sizes, configurations, dampering surfaces, etc, add to that the differences in regards to the device capturing the video/audio etc. The reference points are all so varied it becomes almost impossible to make direct comparisons.
I tend to only give any validity to videos taken outdoors and far enough away walls to avoid reverberation etc.
That's just my $.02 though.

Ya I agree. My whole family rides and Jardine seem to break down faster then I would like, but I do like the deep throaty sound. The D and D is so spend though I am going to have to save all summer and do it over the winter, which is frustrating but necessary. I appreciate your .02 cents though that is why I posted to get some input from real riders.
