hey guys i dont post on here much but i have an issue i hope is not severe but i was lookin over the bike today ready to go on a long road trip and saw that the exhaust is broken right there where the pipe ends and it looks like the guts are out of it. my question is there anyway to repair an exhaust pipe right there at the tip, or would it be easier to just replace everything by the way it is a vance and hines. not sure on how to post pictures

Pierce anrkizms link is for help to get pics up and its a Vance and Hines it could be carbon fiber probably not weldable if that's the case I would say problem with rivets or the carbon fiber might be splitting. Anyways get some pics up so we can help you out

I was actually offering an instant replay of the digital vomit, then following it up with the truth!

Therefore your edit is approved only due to the fact that you're drunk posting! :D:p:D

If its the actual 'can' and not the header, then stengsq is correct, not weldable.

However, there are other viable options if that is the case. You could use the VH header and just replace the muffler.

ok I understand now. Ha, sorry anrkizm95, I read that as a random link to nowhere. My bad.

Blaster, posting pictures is quite easy. You can upload it to your profile and then it provides you a link the uploaded photo, or you can place the URL to the phot in-between the image tags by selecting 'Image' above.

One other thing, you could simply replace the canister with the V&H, but if you are feeling more adventurous there are gains to be had by fabbing up a mounting location and using a supertrap muffler.

ya i got it off last night and saw it was damaged beyond reapir, the whole tip was ripped off along with about 1.5 inch span of the muffler so more then likely just goin get a jardine exhaust, does anybody now if i have to rejet the carb again or just put it on have a k&n filter already on it

How are you jetted now? I have the Jardine RT-1 and K&N and I'm at 175/45 which is what I believe most recommend for that setup.
