D&D too;) Sound real throaty. Maybe a bit loud for Europe/UK so I fitted a pair of universal baffles for a recent trip which have given a slightly muted but awesome V twin growl. I also fitted a pair of stainless muffler tips to finish it off. These tips also have extra muffling perforations built in. I'm well chuffed and I've noticed the bike is smoother to control at low speeds, maybe due to the exhaust flap valve being disconnected. You no longer get that jerkiness on slow manouvers!

Whay do all you people have those stupid frame stickers on, you are supposed to take them off at time of purchase. The white stickers, one on the swingarm, and the white one on the frame up by the forks, those are supposed to come off, silly people. Its like leaving the new car stickers on the windows of a new car. WTF are you thinking??????????????? Get ride of those frame stickers Nubes!! Im not saying that to be mean, im saying that because any bueller who see's your bike with a frame sticker is going to think that. Im just trying to help you.

Bolt of fire you could just go to a stock pipe. Im sure there are lots of people who would appreciate that pipe and would pay you good money for it plus trade you their stock pipe so you have something to put back on yours.

brightbuell, i been riding my firebolt for the past 3 years. i got it new with 7 miles on it when i was 19 and that is not the news pic of my bike i have done other stuff to my bike, but i have meet a lot of people that ride buell and i can say no one cares about those stickers being on there. they think just like any other buell owner out there ' you are riding the top motorcycle ever made" buell was not made for the speed but it was American build bike from my home town in Wisconsin. it was made to enjoy the roads not go as fast as you can down a road like a R1 or any other jap. bikes out there . so i do not know what you are trying to help out

Bright sometimes talks roughly but speaking about stickers he is partially right. Warning sticker on the Swing Arm and Frame spoiles the look of the bike picture a little. It is an important cautioning of course however once you have read it remove it. The bike will start looking a bit cleaner.
Some sticker should have better be removed the sooner the better since they are getting harder and harder to remove after more and more time comes.

Bright, buddy no offence (I have never posted any shitty reply to you may be you noticed that) but being a bit more polite will make people not to be mad at you ;) It is just an advice to help you :)

d Adams, nice pix, I would love to build the same pipe, just got a cheap tig setup. Nice work, did you pack the tubes or are they empty of ss filler?
BR

Everything is 304 ss with silent sport packing stuffed in there.

There's not a lot of room for packing on that one, the intent was for chamber volume. Side effect is, it's loud. I do the same style with 2" cores (instead of the 2.5" as pictured) and it's a little quieter.

Lol yea I still have my stickers on too. Glad bright didn't notice on the cruise :D

you are supposed to take them off at time of purchase
Who gives a fuck? Oh, Brightbuell does.

If they were meant to be taken off at time of purchase I'm sure my dealer would have, or maybe at the first couple of dealer services they would do it or have reminded me.

It's not your bike.

I'll never remove the stickers! They're useful for subsequent owners and make the bike look new and genuine. Now why would I want to trade my D&D for a stock pipe?!! Even with the baffles it sounds 10 times better than stock!! Also I still have a perfect stock pipe in my garage!! Changing the D&D for stock would be dumb!! Also I thought this thread was about what type of exhaust to buy, not whether factory labels should be retained or not! Why not remove all the Buell stickers too, as everyone knows they're Buells....

Hi Bolt of Fire,

The WARNING STICKERS are not more that WARNING STICKERS ;). There is nothing to be proud of if you leave them or take them off. They are not for beauty. They serve just for warning customers about specific features of the FUELL TANK - FRAME and hot OIL PAN - SWING ARM.
The owner of the bike can leave it to be sure any other person (next owner or temporary user) will be cautioned about that.

At least there is a production year, mileage, technical and cosmetic condition of the bike that are taken into account while SALE/PURCHASE of the bike. So the Warning Sticker which is left for (just for example) 4-7 year would definitely not add too much value to the bike if I was a buyer.
If you want to keep them not for functioning but for illusion that the bike couuld look newer that it actually is... then it looks the same as when the cell phone buyer does not remove PRE-DELIVERY protective film from the display/screen. Though it spoiles the visibility of the display and the whole look of the phone[smirk].

Why not remove all the Buell stickers too, as everyone knows they're Buells...
Nobody was talking about that [smirk]. It is up to you. BTW you are right. Even without all the stickers, labels, dacals and logos the BUELL MOTORCYCLE still looks like BUELL only. It is still recognizable and different in every sense.

I do not really want to hurt anybody's WARNING STICKERS FEELING ;), so please take this post as my personal opinion only. Or just try to imagine that I was saying all that speach peacefully and quietly with a kind smile on my polite face ;).

Sorry for jacking the thread mjtomasi[smirk]

Hi SonderMann,
tbh I'm not really bothered if someone prefers the warning stickers removed or if they prefer them left on. I don't really think the stickers spoil the bikes appearance, but that's just my view. Warning stickers are also important and just because the current owner has read them doesn't mean that they should then be removed. As you aknowledge, they are there for future owners too. I was only making a point about the Buell stickers, but most people will obviously prefer them left! I think the comparison of the warning stickers to stickers on a car windscreen is misleading. Cars have most of their warning stickers in the engine bay and the sensible thing is to leave them in place! Bikes don't have a bonnet of cause, so the stickers are on show....anyhow, each to their own and more on exhausts for this thread!

Those stickers look gay.:D I was not trying to make you feel bad, i just dont like the stickers. It will also leave a square where the sticker was if you leave it there to long, from sun fade. I have seen it happen on an 06, when the guy took it off. His bike was an out side bike, he never covered it. If you wax or you use any kind of shinning agent to bring out the shine it will probably leave a square on your swingarm over time. I use Armor-all wipes for a quick shine.

Hi Bolt of Fire,

Now I like the way you are standing on your ground and defending your opinion. You are doing it like a man, justifying your point of view. Definitely not like a bitch in no way. You do not bark and use no curse as if being in panic.

I respect that in people! So I give my REP POINT for you since you are even arguing like a man [up][up][up]

As to the Muffler, I have none to offer [smirk]. So please forgive me fellows for threadjacking :p

And by the way D&D Muffler is the one of three Pipes I adore (Remus/Sebring, D&D and Pro Race Buell Factory Muffler) since dual Outlet Mufflers produce very special sound (Especially dual Pipe Mufflers)[up]

you are supposed to take them off at time of purchase.
i never knew that was the law.how about the warning stickers on your car for the air bag, child seat, caution hot and fan are those covered under the same sticker removal law?
