Got an 04 firebolt, po fabbed up a killer exhaust, but its WFO.....no muffler, no back pressure. Absolutely love the sound, but its robbing the hell out of the bottom end. Any suggestions to a good setup that's still loud as hell and won't kill my bottom end either?

I'm not a Fluid Dynamicist, but it's not the lack of back pressure that robs power. Indeed, the opposite is true. The real factor in how a pipe makes power is the velocity of exhaust gasses it shapes, which is a function of pipe diameter & length.

Having said that, there's a good comparison here.

As Go_Cytosis mentioned, it's not the loss of back pressure (any back pressure is bad) that affects your torque, it's the loss of velocity due to the larger diameter that inhibits the scavenging effect and lowers your bottom end torque output.

Larger diameter flows more for more pull up top. Smaller diameter increases the scavenging at the expense of total flow.

Dean has found the happy medium.
