I'm up in the air as to get extended coverage on my new XB12Ss. It has the 24 month unlimited but I have the option to get another 5 years including tire and wheel coverage for damage. It will cost me close to 2000.00 extra to get the coverage through the dealer. Is it worth the my while or will I be pissing money in the wind. What kind of issues are you guys having with your Xb's.

It all depends on how hard you are on your bike. Also make sure you read the fine print.

If something goes wrong with the bike due to something Buell caused or should have caught they will warranty it whether you have a warranty or not.

Whoa! Just my $.02, but you could repair a lot of stuff for $2k. It's whatever you think though.

Depends... If you have a decent dealership that has mechanics you trust, then the extended warranty might be worth it just to keep it running tight and you don't like getting your hands dirty. However, if you don't have confidence in your dealership to efficiently and effectively service your bike, then the warranty value is significantly diminished, in my opinion. In that case, the 2 grand could buy you a manual and a decent set of tools, and the benefit of getting to know how your bike works and that things are done right.

i got 4 years on top of the two, to make 6 total.

The difference in my monthly payment was an extra few bucks. I figured it was worth the extra few bucks to get 4 years on top of the two

I'm gonna talk to the dealer tomorrow to see what difference it will make on the payment. If it's not bad I may leave it just to have the peace of mind.

dealer is a rip off...if you wait nere the end of your two years buell will send you and extended coverage ...same plan for more then half the money with more years
