Factory ECM

What can a factory 2002 XB9R ECM handle as far as mods go? Echaust/airbox/air filter. After reading some of these posts I am scared to start messing around with my bike, if anyone can give a noob buell owner some advice I would grealy appreciate it.

Generally, an Exhaust OR Intake mod is fine with the Stock EEPROM. But if doing both, it's best to have the bike remapped or at the very least flashed with a Race Map - all this is assuming the '02 is basically an '03.
