Just bought the jacket below. Not sure if its real or not because its comming from China. If its not real balistic nilon do you think it would still hold up in a crash.

Is there a way to tell if its balistic nilon? What does it look and feel like?

Anyone see one like this before?

I have this one

His feels even better than mine.

Ballistic or not you'll get rash any way if you go down. Hope you don't got over 45 with a nylon jacket. Leather is the only way to go.

I live in FL so leather was a little to toasty for me. Ofcourse Ive never worn one with vents in it. Do you ride in high humid 95 degree weather with yours? Is it bearable.

Thats BS, iv know many a people that have gone down in mesh and walked away with no rash.

The thing with some mesh is the inside liner, if mesh is touching your skin it can just pull your skin off, which is still better than having to scrub out gravel. Leather can also rash thru, nothing is rash proof.

I ride with a perforated black leather jacket. 95 & humid - riding is dandy, slow speed is not that bad, but then again I don't encounter much traffic. It moves so much air, it actually makes me wish I had a non-perforated leather jacket on those foggy cool mornings.

Any one from texas have an opinion on textile versus leather? I have the bionic armor which was great riding in MD summer heat 85-95 with alot of humidity. but texas is dry and i dunno if perforated leather is going to be over kill? im mostly looking for something to wear on chilly morning on the way to work something that can be stuffed into a back pack when it heats up in the after noon.

Thaloc One of my good friends low sided at only about 45 with a JoeRocket ballistic jacket and one of his arms was burned the length. Nylon is better than a t-shirt, but all the crashed jackets I've seen have holes in them (even some leather) and whats under that, probably your skin.

I have a Teknic perforated leather and it's good when it's hot and humid. Yes 95F. A big difference from my other leathers. But when the nights get cooler 65-70F, it's not enough to keep you warm.

I'll wear my leather jacket until it gets to be 95. That's where I put on my air flow and split lanes line mofo. But no matter how hot it is, I always wear my smx plus boots, and beside the trip to olive garden in reno, I always wear leg armor too.
