Fan upgrade

You know how there are like a dozen fan manufacturers for computer towers? Is there anyway to upgrade the cooling fan in the Buell?

I believe the fans are made by Spal, which is actually a really good and higher end automotive fan manufacturer. The xb platform is just a torture test for fans lol, roadgrime+evental oil leak+very hot environment will eventually kill the fan, but they actually have a decent life span. IMO

But to answer your question im sure something could be fitted to the case, its just whether or not it is worth it since there still seems to be a good supply of OEM fans. The fan motor can be pulled from the case once the fan blade is off, then it'd just be a matter of finding a fan to fit the casing.

^^^^^ they are indeed Spal brand.....extremely high end and well-engineered. inherent problem with computer tower type fans is lack of water resistance. Spal about as good as it gets for the XB application.

08+ fan is quieter, or it runs at different speed, haven't figured that out yet.
