Fender eliminator kits: Diesel Moto vs. ASB

Buellxb Forum

ASB fender eliminator kit arrived on 24-Dec-2013. So I'm thinking, "Cool, I'll do the install on Christmas day." Open the box and I see this:

Bummed!

I've reached out to ASB to hopefully get a replacement but what a bummer. I could live with scratches on the underside but this is right on top.

:( :( :(

It's always disappointing when you're waiting for something and you open up the package to a surprise you weren't expecting. Hopefully they make it right for you brother!

Thanks Justin. Definite bummer! I thought about using a black sharpie or touch up paint but this isn't a "cheap" modification - at least to me, so I'm hoping ASB comes through on replacing it.

BTW, for anyone wanting to know, this is from Diesel Moto and there are no instructions. [confused]

If i would have seen this sooner, I would have offered to sell you my diy assembly. I bought the bike with it done but bought a stock replacement for my bike.

For what it's worth I priced out a new stock at the local Harley dealer (which is way over syrduke or what ever their name is) for $160. O think syryduke had it for $120 ish. You could just cut it up from there and save a few bucks.

I wouldn't call it "cheap" either! Even if it were $20, an imperfection of the such would definitely disappoint me. I really hope they come through for you as well.

No disrespected but, you seem more than inclined to be able to remove the stock piece and replace it with this one. From what I could think, you just undo all the wiring, and replace!

ASB is sending a replacement part. [up] [up] [up]

But I won't get if for another week. [sad]

Oh well, the modifications will have to wait another week.
