Hey all just picked up an M2 with 8.6k miles on it. So far just looking over it, its got a K&N air filter, Supertrapp slipon, and adjustable clutch and brake. So my questions are (which can probably be found in a service manual but I cannot find one for the life of me) What is the accaptable idle range for these bikes? I would like it around 600-800 because of how it sounds, but i know that HD motors have problems with oil pressure at low idle RPMs. Also, where can I find a manual!?!? And my biggest newb question...how do i get the rear seat off...[sad] Only picture I have so far

Welcome to the forum! I enjoy hearing when a carbureted Buell is still on the road. Looks great!

With the engine warmed up, the idle speed is 950-1,050 RPM, and when idling cold with the choke enricher on, it is 2,000 RPM.

I get my service manuals the legal way by buying them, new or used, on ebay or from an H-D dealership. And online stores like Buellstarparts (site sponsor), for example, also sells them.

Assuming it hasn't fallen off, under about the middle of the seat is a wing screw - remove it. The front of the seat has a tab that slides into the frame, so pull back and up on the seat to remove it.

Awesome thank you for the help! Once I get it inspected the fun can begin. Until then im riding quiet lol. Just for ghits and shiggles, approx what main and slow jet would y'all recommend as a starting point with a free flowing muffler and the k&n pod filter?
