Fiberglass pipe packing

I need to repack my pipe soon and was wondering if the packing in slip on pipes is just standard fiberglass or is it some type of high temp fire resistant glass. Reason I ask is I work in a boat manufacturing plant and I can get all the glass I need. Anyone know?

This is old but I just put in an FMF packing kit that was a "blanket/pillow" and only spent $27 w/tax on it. You can get a kit at any dirt bike shop pretty much.

Yea, thanks, I was looking at the FMF or the MSR packing. It looks like it will last a little longer than the Jardine stuff.
