As some of you know I have been working on my 2005 XB9SX...I sent the heads of to Hammer Performance for their Crush level head service which include port job 1.9" intake valves and 1.615" exhaust valves. The heads were milled .020" and prepped to work with the cams. I did Redshift 567 cams, Jim's Powerglide II Lifters, .050" Shorter Chromoly pushrods. It took some time and patience to get the clearances I needed to get everything to work right. I did a chain conversion, rear sets, and clamp on handlebars. I also painted parts and the Only thing I am waiting for is my Cherry Bomb intake cover due here tomorrow!

Going down the road

Running a 12 header now? Any head work & tune on a 9 motor should include larger headers & updated air box.
OR force winder/custom/Dean Adams & micron full systems. may lose a torque or 2 but you'll gain hp. That's what the 9 motor is all about anyway. Should be able to hang with stock 12 bikes :)

Cool build thread! Glad to see this stuff

Yeah, I'm running an xb12 throttle body and header on this xb9. I have already done the open air box mod with a k&n filter. I actually loaded a 12 fuel map just to get it running and it runs surprisingly decent on it until I can break it in and start tuning.
