have to wait until dark to get some reflective shots!

klan52, nice job, sharp bike!
Sleez, thanks for the honest assesment, can't wait to see the night shots.

Matt

het matter just wondering if you got my set shipped yet. i'm just a little impatient. wanna get them on.:D

Wow Sleeze, those things look great in the night shot!
loser54023, I can't seem to match your forum name with any e-mails so I am not sure which ones you ordered. If they are the reflectives it will be a few days still as I had to order the material. Shoot me an e-mail so I can match you up.

Thanks, Matt

Man that's a helluva difference in the low light shot. You'd hardly know it's the same decal !

those look amazing in the low light sleez, make me wish i woulda read the whole forum before I ordered my stain blacks, but still happy with what I got, little touch that makes all the difference. and thanks to whoever edited my post and gave me the link to how to post pics...[up]

Looks great sleez!! did you try leaving it out in the sun for a day to see if the bubbles go away? Xtremelow was saying that when he installed vinyl, that was his trick

Hey Sleez, let me know if they don't go away. I can always just make one side for you.

Matt

hey matt,

they haven't gone away yet. i'll live with it for awhile, i'll let you know if it bothers me too much. they are great. i love when it is near dusk and there are some lights on in the area, the decals start to glow at certain angles, looks cool as hell.

i am sure the effect would be hard to capture in a pic.

You may have to let the decals set out for a couple weeks before you see the bubbles go away, be patient that is and has always been the biggest problem, people dont wait and try to redo it to only have it do the same thing.

If all else fails and you do need to redo the decals spray water(heavy mist) on the frame so you can squeegee out the bubbles as you lay out the decals, and dont need to worry about them sticking as soon as you lay them out.

the second one i did, i used a light mist, it worked much better, wish i would have done a heavier mist, and on both sides...now i know!!

another trick is to use a VERY fine threading needle and poke holes where the bubbles are then with a smooth piece of plastic run it across the graphic to smooth it out, but not tear holes in it. matt sending you an email tomorrow I would also like a set of reflective graphics.

i spent about an hour poking holes and smoothing out, helped a lot, but still only a dent in the amount i got trying to do the one side dry!

Ok Sleez, we just can't have you spending all your time popping bubbles instead of riding! I will send you a replacement, no charge. Which side was it again?

Matt

hey matt,

not necessary, but it was the right side.

thanks for everything!!!! you rock!!!
