***firebolt clip-ons??***

New to the boards here and fairly new to Buell. I have an 07 XB12s and im looking to do a few mods this winter. One of the mods I was looking to do was convert to the Firebolt clip-on bars. I was talking to a couple guys at my local dealer and one says its a direct bolt on with the purchase of the upper tripple tree and the clip-ons, the other says it takes alot of work and I would need to purchase alot more parts. Im pretty technically minded and not against custom work like cutting and grinding to make things fit, but I dont feel like spending a fortune on a bunch of parts to make it work. Has anyone put the firebolt bars on a lightening and what exactly is involved? Aslo does anyone have any pictures of the final product? Any help is appreciated! thanks!

From everything I've read on the forum all you need is the upper tripple trees and the clip ons, just search the forum for clip-ons and it should pop up any information you'll need.

just get the crossroads bars from americansportbike.com It end up being the same position as the firebolt bars, but its a whole lot easier to install, and the only thing you'll need after you install them is a new pair of grips. There are two different angles and two different widths. Here is the link
