Firebolt handlebar conversion?????????

I found on eBay 2005 firebolt triple trees and handlebars that im thinking about bidding on, but before i do i was wondering if they would fit on a 04 lighting xb12s? I m thinking that I could just swap out the trees and handlebars and make a couple mods to make it all fit. My goal is to have a lower more aggressive riding position. By doing this will i achieve this(riding position) or will it be way less of a headache and just buy crossroads? Any feedback would be great!

I say go for the Crossroads droped me about 3 inches lower. So much better then stock more aggressive riding position. Plus they make the bike look bad A$$.. IMO.

Your right they do like nice. I am thinking either those or cr clubmans, the only think where do i find the clubmans?

Those look bad ass! I love them. So much more agressive. I have a firebolt cuz I like the more agressive look and handeling. I think you could have the same handling with those. Anyone out there tried both the firebolt and the crossroads? Are they pretty much the same feel?

I think it probley just boils down to which one cost's less. I bet the handeling is the same.

If you're not swapping forks you won't need the lower tripe, just the top. Even though the forks changed sizes a bit the top triple stayed the same so it should be a direct swap as far as the forks go. The firebolt triple will require you to drill and tap some holes for the flyscreen/speedo mounting brackets, as well as drilling a hole in the left side bracket for your clutch cable to run through behind the flyscreen.

The crossroads would keep you from having drill the new top triple and pulling your whole front end apart as they just bolt right on to the XBS handlebar mounts.

Your right Brightbuell, it'll come down to price and right now the ebay bars are up around $150, I should just man up and either buy crossroads or some CR clubmans.

I've got a set of 7 degeree crossroads if anyone wants them. I ended up putting renthal bars on...better position for me. Just send a PM and we can talk.
