i am thinking of replacing my headlights but realize these headlights are unique with their own cans and all that jive, i am a total noob when it comes to bikes but have some mechanical brilliance on occassion. i have a Buell Firebolt XB9R 2003, and i want to change out the front headlights for some HID or something along that lines. i like the headlights that lexus have with the ball looking deal that give brilliant light but i am also interested in doing something along the lines of ghost lights around the headlights. something like what bmw does with the halo effect, and in addition i was thinking of having 3 lights, one on each side to ride normally and one high beam in the middle. idk if thats possible of how that would work but i am just kind of annoyed with everyone always telling me one headlight is out.

on another side note i will be changing out the sprockets soon, lowering the rear and getting a larger one in the front. as well as changing out the rear lights to something more apporpriate looking, changing the color scheme from blue and silver to silver and a dark gray with fleck in it. and adding red hints here and there, as well as getting the rims powder coated for protection. now this is all mostly aesthetics but i am interested in getting the bike tuned....i use this term loosely but i would like to add either a turbo or super or maybe just tune it. what would be the best route?

thanks all

Holy Crap Batman!

and i thought i wanted to mess with things lmfao!

as far as the lights go i saw several kits on FleaBay for sale, i can't vouch for their quality as lights arent on my list but just a thought...

Uh....Welcome!!! Classic first post i'd say. lol

Hadlights - Anythings possible. I had to buy a new assembly completley due to reflective material deteriating on the inside. Also I added a 55w HID kit from DDM tuning. People have done the led look like audi's /bmw's using pilot phantom led strips. I sometimes just use my LED's for daytime driving lights for the balanced look. The "hey dude your lights out" is annoying but it happens to us all. u can look @ my pics and see my LED's above the headlihts or do a search and Dave_Xb12 Is the originater of the idea. It looks badass on his bike. Post up a pic of what your working with.
