I have pictures of how low you can go with a Firebolt or any XB for that matter. I have two pictures here. One is stock and one is dropped. The one that is dropped is even 1/2 lower than a XB12SCG. See if you can see it, I knwo its kinda hard with pictures.

Right around 2 1/2 inches shorter than stock. Look at the exposed portion of the slider tube on the front fork. I know its hard to tell in the photos.

Complete forks - $365 each
Lower triple tree - $125
Rear shock - $275-950
Kickstand - $75

ok thanks, well i would like to do the same on my bike this winter. if youi could email me at [email protected] and tell me where to buy this items and the process that it take to install this that would be very apriciated.

You can buy it at any local dealer. The labor we charged was 4.4 hours. Depending on the year of the bike, you might not need the lower triple tree.

Specs for the XB12SCG suspension I used

Soft Contact, Right 42° 42°
Soft Contact, Left 42° 42°
Hard Contact, Right 50° 50°
Hard Contact, Left 48° 48°

Specs for the stock XB12R

Soft Contact, Right 47° 47°
Soft Contact, Left 47° 47°
Hard Contact, Right 50° 50°
Hard Contact, Left 48° 48°

Soft contact you lose 5 degrees, thats about it. Gotta give a little to get a little. At least you dont have to worry about dragging fairing once you lower it like on a Jap

i just asked my local dealer about lowering my 05xb12r and they had no idea in what i was talking about, they have never done it before and have never heard of anyone doing such thing. the dealer i went to was hals harley in wisconsin...

Well, whether they have done it or not, I can guarantee that it can be done. I can give you an exact list of part numbers that you can give to them to order so it cannot be messed up. If they have any questions, tell them to feel free to give me a call here at my dealer for a full scoop on the whole process. I do have one revision to the labor I said that we charged to get it done. Service here said that if they do it again, labor would be closer to 5 hours due to the lower triple tree procedure.

ok thanks, if you like to give me an exact list of parts that would br great, im putting my bike in the shop soon. so it would be very appriciated... [email protected] is my email if you just want to do it that way. may be easier.

Left Fork - J0121.1AE

Right Fork - J0122.1AE

Rear Shock - K0410.1AE

Kickstand - L1167.1AE

Lower Triple Clamp - J0106.02A8C

These are exact part numbers. Just be sure to copy them down EXACTLY. Buell part numbers do tend to run very close, and one digit off could mean that it will not fit. Any other questions, feel free to let me know.

so if i give these numbers to the parts dep, they will be able to get these parts, would it be cheaper if i buy these parts from somewhere else...

Unless you can find someone who has parted out a CG on ebay or something, I dont think you will be able to get the stuff anywhere else cheaper. I am sure they will look at you funny if you walk in, hand them a list of the correct part numbers to do the kit they said couldn't be done and show them up. lol It will be awesome. Let me know how it pans out. I want to know what they say.
