It seams like it would be cheaper to have your seat custom lowered a 1.5 inch and better foam put on the seat to make up for the thickness than to lower the actual bike?
I am 5'8'' and tiptoeing on my 0912ss but with a slightly lower seat I think I would be fine.
what do you think?

How does it fell I'm about 5,7 -5,8 did it make a difference, bikes just heavy more foot the better and thanks to all for part #s

Can you tell me what parts i would need to lower a 03 xb9r?

I bought mine "lowered" from a custom guy and he lowered the rear by distorting the rear shock with a blow torch. a little precarious. I have an new rear shock and cylinder, etc. The front is easy enough drop and raise, I suppose. It's more a lowering link or some other solution to retain the full function of the shock, I'm too short and only Buells fit...lol ahhh... Buell

Love it when it runs!!!

Thanks in advance!

Ben

The first post of this page holds all of the part numbers...

Or this

And slip the forks.

Race Tech sell an inner shock spacer kit that can lower the bike from 1 to 4 inches. The race Tech part number is SPLS 14 and it can be installed by anyone who is familiar with rebuilding shocks and has a nitrogen recharge unit. The kit costs $30 - $40 and my local racetech guy charged me $125 to do it...

not to dredge up an old thread...but the racetech part that was mentioned comes in 3 different shaft sizes....what size works on the xb12r? would be helpful information for people wanting to go that route
