Can anyone tell me if this same process will work on the 1125R model? Ive dropped the triple trees on the forks with no problem but looking for a mono shock thats shorter to put on bike to drop it a couple of inches

There is a different spring available for the 1125, not exactly sure who carries it but someone on the forum has it done.

BPG I know it's repetitive but how much and what are the part numbers for a 03 xb9r. Thanks sorry for the repetitiveness. I was wanting a couple inches down what spring do I need for the rear? Thanks again

I am doing a conversion on my 2008 1125R to a CR and putting an SCG tail section. BPG, do you think the SCG rear shock should fit? The entire tail section will be SCG and yes, I almost have it complete and no it was not a direct bolt-on and yes it was A Bitch to do the conversion.[cool]:D

I got call from Corpus Christi HD my conversion parts came in and one of those was the SCG rear shock. Im going to attempt direct bolt-on to my 1125R-CR and see if it does bolt up and if it does 'drop' it a bit. Im hoping at least 1/2" but 1" would be great. I will keep ya'll updated. Thanks

Hey guys, the scg shock is actually longer than the 1125R shock. I was not gonna work on my conversion as planned.FYI. If I remember correctly the 1125R shock was 12 3/4" and the SCG shock was like 14". It doesnt sound right but I think thats right.

Hi there,
Am a newbie to the forum and am looking into the costs and ways to lower a Buell XB12R that I am going to be buying next month.
Have read through this thread and have a couple of questions...
I am 5'2" so need to lower the bike for obvious reasons...
I will be buying an 05' plate UK bike and have been advised to get a custom mono-shock from a company called Hagon at a cost of £400 (Think that is about $650ish)
They did not mention forks and or a triple clamp as mentioned near the beginning of this thread?
Also, there is mention of buying new forks, can the existing ones not just be chopped and dropped?
Also, I know I would need to replace the side stand.
Can anyone give me the website of somewhere I might get all of these parts if the Hagon shock is not suffice? Or even if, as would defo need the side stand anyway!
Struggling to find the parts online myself...
Thank you.

now, for another question.
I have an xb12scg, which I am lowering for my really short wife.(4'11")
Is any company making an adjustable sidestand?
thanks, I did search, havent found anything yet.

outlaw, when you lower it and you know that is how the bike is gonna stay, i would just trim the kickstand a bit, or even take it by some custom bike shop and have then heat it and maybe bend it a bit or something like that. i just tried to look for adjustable kickstands also. May try J&P cycles in the sportbike section or Motorcycle superstore.

it's mild steel i cut and removed 1" out of Cherry's and welded it back togther with the mig.

Check soupy performance if you really want a adjustable i bet he would make you one if he doesn't already

will install as soon as I install the rear shock shortening kit
