I didn't know where to post this but I'm looking for a pic of the tail of a lightning under the seat so I can see where the brake reservoir goes. If anyone can help. I have a 2004 firebolt

on the right side, forward and below the under tail tray, look between the upper and lower mounts (open space) a little threaded tab is where it mounts to on the seat rail

I had to make a little bracket for mine to be able to go there - I think there may be slight variations to the tail, but yes - that's where to reservoir goes. You may have to shorten up the non-pressure brake line from the reservoir to the brake cylinder for it to fit well. Very easy to do!

thanks for all the input, ill have to make a bracket to fit in under there and also have to trim the line so there isnt so much slack.

Your Firebolt reservoir cup is not going to fit like its supposed to, the cup has a different mounting post. Sure you can make it work but why rig it when you can get a Lightning reservoir for $14?

H0012.1AD is the part number for the hose and reservoir assembly.

^^ While this is true, but if you want to ride the next day like I did, then I just came up with the bracket.

Gonna let her sit a few days. While I wait on parts. Better off this way. Now I can tackle the few issues I have while she is down

If anyone who has done an R to S conversion has a firebolt undertail left over ill buy it off you, i need one, shoot me a pm if youve got one and want to make a few bones.

I just stuff my res in under the seat. Easy access, sits upright, and no hassle.
