First bike, and i have some questions

Ok so i bought my dads 03 xb9 after he picked up his new street glide. Just learned how to ride this spring and i love it. Being new to buell, and bikes in general, im wondering what you guys think some cost effective/worthwhile mods are? Im pretty sure its stock besides k&n filter and d&d exhaust. Running dunlop sportmax q2's. I'll put up a pic soon, not working on my phone lol. Thanks for any input.

Best money I've spent so far has been on the right side scoop. Makes a world of difference on those warm days. Second would be good suspension setup and some good rider training or possible track days to get yourself more comfortable with the bike and confident in your skills.

Good training is always the best investment.

+1 on the RSS and suspension. The suspension can be set up for your weight. I suggest doing that also. YouTube the suspension tuning. There's one on there from Buell. It's for the 1125R But it works for XBs also as long as you match the tuning with the manual.
I love my EBR ECM, but they're a little expensive. Basically make it your own. Colors, levers, LEDs, etc. Can't wait to see the bike.

Setting up the suspension will give you the best return on your money as it cost nothing but time. It can really change the way the bike handles if it isn't set up for your weight.

I suggest an MSF course and some street time before you venture to a track day ... just to get comfortable with the bike in general ...

[up] To all the above, but be sure to invest in sliders, pucks, etc for your bike and also for yourself. Put proper cash into protection first, before you bling her out.

Download and Learn to use ECMSpy for doing TPS resets, burning fuel maps, general diagnosis, etc. Software is free, cable is $35-40. Breather 're-route to help keep the throttle body nice and clean. Everything as suggested...you can get decent gear on a budget.
