fitting the streetfighter seat?

Anyone have any tricks for fine-tuning seat fitment? My streetfighter seat is great but doesn't fit perfectly.

If you don't get any answers before five, I'll take some pictures of how mine is. It came with the bike so I'm not sure of the adjustments.

I'm guessing this is for the lightning seat, wasn't quite sure what it was called.

yea I have a lightning, and had the stock seat. Now I've replaced it with a streetfighter and it rocks around and doesn't fit snug. I'm curious if anyone knows the best way to tweak the seat to fit better and more snugly?

I noticed the same problem with mine, moves around a little in the front and doesn't fit the contour of the tank as nice as the stock seat. I took a heat gun to mine and tweaked the plastic seat pan until I had a nice snug fit... lasted a day or two. Now I have gotten used to it, never moves around when riding.

Matt you're saying the heat gun fixed it but it eventually tweaked back out?

By the way I still haven't applied the new graphics, I'll get at you with pics of the old ones when I do.

Start cutting the high points, or trimming them back.

I would try to remove the spacer between the seat and rear latch on the seat, if that is possible. If not try trimming down those big plastic washers on the seat around the screws back toward the rear.

Which seat is more comfortable for a long ride? the stock or the streetfighter? I have the latter and was thinking about switching back to a stock one if I can find one and if its more comfortable.

It's my understanding and belief that all the aftermarket seats are more comfortable and all around better than the stock. I personally went from stock to streetfighter and it's much more comfortable. You may want to look at the Select seat.

Yep, I got the plastic pan all fitted nice around the tank and after a couple days it looked the same.

Mine fits better than the stocker, more snug. Its a little uneven around the airbox area because it has more padding, but everywhere else is perfect. I love my streetfighter seat.[cool]
