Fork Info - Are XB12R and XB12S forks the same?

Looking for a set of forks. Are all the XB 12 series interchangable? I have a 2004 XB12R and need some fork tubes. Thanks for any info.

im also 99% sure that the XBR and XBS forks are the same.... BUT.... different year bikes had different diameter tubes. If you have an 04, then you should have 54mm tubes, therefore you will need 03-04 forks... 05 went up to a 56mm i believe.

Also have to watch out, cause the S lows had different forks then standard S and R models.

Fork tubes between an S and R are the same but like Pony said you will have to stick to '03-'04 forks if you are using internals, or dont want to swap lower tree clamps as that changes also between '04 and '05
