Yeah my right fork seal popped and is minimally leaking. I'm ready to tackle this myself with some diy videos on youtube and whatnot if there's anything i should watch out for, heads up? Amsoil shock therapy for fork oil and just going to buy some seals somewhere not sure where to go other than a motorcycle shop. Thanks guys.

How many miles on em??? Prob. want to do the bushings if more then about 5k

First try the film trick get a piece of 35mm film about a foot long and slip it in between fork and seal, slowly pull it out while rotating it around fork. Repeat until no more dirt or grit comes out of seal. Should remove grit and dirt caught in the seal, if seal is still good, this will fix it - if not then replace.
EZ

......with the 35mm film trick, do you slide film down where dust seal is attached? or do you have to pull fork? My front right fork is leaking at 18,000 miles.

Thanks

Remember that these forks are not that rare. They don't have to be done by a HD shop.

The main tool is pretty expensive and you won't use it for a couple more years.

Got mine done at a local Ducati independent, same forks as they use.

^I agree. I took mine to a local guy that has a motorcycle shop right down the street from me. I don't exactly remember the price but I bought the parts(he wasn't familiar with buell) and parts were ~$50 from asb and he charged like $150ish for labor and oil. The bike handles really nice after he rebuilt them. He had never worked on a buell, but once I brought them in he said they were nearly identical to ducati forks. I would do just about anything not to go to HD.

I just went to small local metric shop. I don't think he had done a buell, but the forks are the same as some Duc's and Gixers. Cost me 115.00, and that included oil, seals and dust boots.
