My fork seal on one of my front forks on my xb is leaking. I was wondering how easy is it to change myself and what website could i order one from. and do i need both the seal and a new boot on top or just a new seal? or should i just take it to the nearest buell dealer?

I was told that both the boot and the actual seal should be replaced, but that was after I only had the seal replaced since that's all I bought. The world's still turning so I guess it's okay to do just the seal ;) On another note, I would check that wherever you have it serviced, they have the proper equipment for holding the fork. Where I took mine, they wrapped it with a t-shirt and put it in a vise. Now I've got a marred up fork tube.

ok I finally got my seals ordered and they came yesterday. I am still thinking of changing them myself. Does anybody know if it is easy to do. I assume i'll have to take the whole fork off because it's inverted. can anyone tell me if these forks are gas and oil or just oil and a spring like alot of older bikes? thanks
