I got a new right fork after an accident and now it seams very stiff. I went to try and tune the shork with the top screw but it is stuck in place. Can i remove the blue cap and the silver screw? Or am I screwed?

Cheers,
Adam

Springs wear. They over time and miles lose their inch pounds rating. If you put a new fork/used fork with few miles on it on your bike, and your's has high mileage, you may never get it tuned well... Just my .02

Grab you a service manual to get a handle on the terminology. Top screw is your Rebound. Not sure if it would help, but try backing off your Preload nut and the Compression adjustment at the bottom of the fork. If you still can't move your Rebound screw after that, you may have to disassemble. In that case post back up...

WOOO HOOO! got it lose. Now I will try tuning it. Now here is the new question. If the bike is stiffer when turning to the right, right shock is new, what adjuster would be affecting it? The lower one on the fork or the one on the upper part of the shock?

Thanks,
Adam
