i have a 06 firebolt xb12r. sometimes i start it up and she runs like a champ... sometimes it fouls the rear plug. any help would be appreciated

Don't rev it and don't start and shut down while still cold...what does the rear plug look like?

i just bought it and the guy i got it from said he put some sort of fuel system on it. i dont know what. i would like to know where it is located so i can find out. this is my first buell so i am tryin to learn where all this stuff is.

My '09 will drop a cylinder when it's cold out. Usually, under 40 degrees. If I catch it as soon as it fires and hold it at 2000 rpm for a minute, it clears up and won't foul. It will still clear out eventually if it does, but I have to warm it at idle then run it up to 5000 and roll off a few times before it snaps back. Apparently, there is an update to the TPS that Buell can install. I just need to be willing to give up the bike for a couple of days so they can do it :) I don't know if this would apply to your '06, but it sounds like a similar issue, although your re-map sounds suspicious too.

i think i am gonna have a shop look at the fuel system ans see if they can do a check. i am using hd plugs right now i think that ngk might be a better plug but am not quite sure. i know that they are way cheaper. :) they come out black. and i know that it really burns rich when starting up.(black smoke) not alot but it is black then when it warms up it goes away and runs good after that, its just the initial startup.
