I've had a small oil leak ever since i've owned the bike. Looked as if i was leaking from the drain plug initially but after a new o-ring, same leak. cleaned up the whole swingarm, put a rag under it, and found it dripping from a different spot. wiped it again, stared at it, and saw it seeping through a hairline crack in the swingarm. it's about an inch long, on the flat portion facing the rear tire, in the center slightly off to the left. no dings or scars to show something hit it, seems to have come out of nowhere.

Is this common? Can i just repair this with jb weld? Thanks for any input guys!

jb weld or silicone might do it but you would need to drain the oil and clean out the tank so no oil will leak while drying.best bet is to pull it and have it welded.

Your bike was a former stunter, right?

A cracked swingarm would park the bike.

I'd compare the replacement cost against an excellent weld shop. It's aluminum, that's not an easy weld to maintain heat treatment.

New, it about $420 according to chicagoharley.com

Someone has to have a used one for you on here. I would post in wanted classifieds and see if anyone has a spare. That sucks though! Good luck!
