Hello to all Buell owners and a small shout out to the other types of RIDERS. Most of the Posts and Threads I have looked through are older in regards to " STATOR'S" which I now have the latest and greatest charred, burnt and fried model. ACCEL has one that I would have to reuse my engine wire plug and maybe lengthen the lead wires also. the Model I was looking at was the 152111 version. Anyone gone that route or recommendations ?

If you are one of the rare souls with an actual stator problem that tests bad, an OE replacement is a fine, long lasting repair.

If you are the 'It broke so I MUST upgrade it' type:
https://ricksmotorsportelectrics.com for a Plug n' Play upgrade.

If you are the 'I'd feel better if I made my life more difficult' type, any 3-phase stator that clears the rotor and mounts to the primary will work on your early XB Buell. After all, it's just 3 wires wrapped around an iron core.

Old STATOR Picture1002201636.jpg I will jump on that info from Harley Davidson. Just all the " be care full with the updated part number 29971 02Y "A" and clearance factor....
On a fun note for "ALL" I went to Street Vibs last week in Virginia City on my Red 08 ultra so check out the YOU TUBE Video one of the riders with me posted......

Regulator looks fine. Very small cracks on the silicon sealant backing and no corrosion or bluing of connector ends in the harness plugs. Will fully test when new STATOR is delivered via COOTER'S suggestion.-H.D.-ST PAUL....Still in the 90's here so I'm glade it is down so I will want to ride it more through the afternoons " hottest part of the day" when it starts cooling down soon. that's with 10% humidity for those in the east. Later fellow riders

Also look into installing a cheap digital voltage gauge in your dash. Some good threads on the forum with step by step instructions and photos.

If I had paid attention to it correctly, it would have let me know that my voltage regulator was on its last leg, before I got stranded on the highway.

I think that I will do The Dash Meter but I have a USB power plug on my 08 Ultra with a Blue LED which is blinding so maybe I will get a dimmable LED set up for we all know that It is face down riding on a sport bike so the constant light would be a distraction. Another ship shape Idea COOTER especially with the limited dash space on a Buell. Mods to the dash is a no brainer considering I have all ready changed out headlights and tail an turn signals to all LED's. Thanks for the help guys..
