Front axle sticking out a bit to the right

That's crazy! I would have bet that over torquing would have striped the threads before doing anything like that. Good thing the forks are ok.

Holy hell!!! ... I can only imagine how much force this dude was putting on this axle to stretch it out like that ... Guess he took the "if at first you don't succeed....." mantra directly to heart !! ... Do not pass go!! ... Do not collect $200!! ...

But glad to see you found the root cause of the problem and got it fixed man ... [up][up][cool]

Wait ... is the front axle a whole lot different than the rear? ... ?? ... Might sound like a stupid question ... but just curious ...

they thread in on opposite sides so the rear axle has a normal right hand thread. other than that same design just a little larger and beefier.
