First post. 1997 S3 almost a barn find. It spent its time under carports or open garages on the Texas coast. Lots of oxide on it but it is cleaning up okay. 6741 miles as purchased in mid-July 2012. Now has nearly 10,000.
'97 S3 front brake light switch was intermitent. Tried contact cleaner, contact lube, WD-40. Would work for a day or two than stick on or off. The switch has "ALPS JAPAN" on it so I knew that it was a stock switch from that manufacturer. I found a picture of the switch at Motorcycle Superstore that crossed to Honda OEM: 35340-MA5-671, 35340-ML7-000, 35340-MM5-600. I forget which one I got, but it was $22 with tax.
