I rode my bike for the first time after getting it fixed and theres alot of vibration from the front when i hit the front brakes. I checked the pads and they look good. Any help would be great.

could be a cupped tire; a warped disc; a loose pinch bolt on the trees,,,what repairs were done?

replaced the upper triple tree clamp, and replaced the front wheel

It only happens when I hit the brakes

Was the rotor replaced? It could be that the pads have not seated to the new position of the rotor. Give it some break in miles there's a good chance that it will cure itself once the pads get used to either a different rotor or position of the original rotor since there is a different front wheel on the front end.

Something is loose. Either its the bolts holding the rotor on or the stem. Loosen the top triple and make sure stem bolt is tight. Did u do the work ur self? If not take it where u got the work done at and have them fix it. Check the axle as well.

Sounds like a warped rotor to me. Take it to a sport bike mechanic. He'll put a gauge on it and tell you how far warped it is. I think the max tolerance is .05" on our bikes. But before you take it in, make sure all of the mount points of the rotor are floating still. If you push on the rotor at the mount points, it should move.

I torqued the bolts to 25 ft-lbs, that didn't help. I had the rotor checked and it was straight. Finally i tried sanding the disk to remove the black off of it, and it worked for about a minute. So would it be my brake pads?

I also have another problem, my right front fork is leaking, so any info on fixing that would be very helpful.

there is a dot on the rotor that should be positioned with the valve stem. make sure its in the right position, i had the same problem with a shaky front end when braking hard, i repositioned it in the right place and no more shakes. hope this helps. aslo check the triple stem cap (per daves advise) it may have gotten loose

I tried all of the above, still no luck, i even changed the pads. Im thinking about finding a shop and let them take a look at it.

Did you replace the rotor like Dave had suggested? It sounds like the rotor might be warped.

no, i just had it checked. the guy said it looked straight, but he was only gone about 20 seconds. I guess i'll just get a new one and try that.

i think with an air bubble in the line it would have enough braking force, i dont think it would cause vibration

There is no superbike shops close to where I live. the closest thing to a superbike shop is a honda dealer.
