Front brake tick

So I just got my 03 9r back from the shop (go the fork seals done) And now whenever I'm on the front brake there is a ticking noise, it seems pretty loud too as I can hear it with my helmet on and bike running. It only happens when I use the front brake and that's it. Has anyone else had this problem? I dont think they would have messed with the rotor at all... Any ideas?[confused]

They had to remove your brake caliper and wheel to do the seals..... plus remove the forks.... I whould check to make sure all your pinch and caliper bolts are tight.
then check your pads and rotors for dirt.

If the clicking becomes louder the harder you brake then also check your rotor mounting kit. I did a tyre on the front of my XB12S and since then the clicking has started when i am harder on the front brake than normal. I have just ordered the mounting hardware kit as i can see two mounting tabs are loose now for some reason.

I just did my fork seals last night as well and am experiencing exactly what you are. I checked all the caliper mounting bolts and the mounting bolts on the rotor. Everything is tight so im still trying to figure this out. Today im going to look more into it, gave up last night after replacing the seals for the front brake to now make a noise that it didnt have before. If i find anything out ill be sure to let you know what it was so hopefully it can lead you in the right direction.

Alright so everything's tight, I took the rotor off and the re installed it... still making the noise. It also gets louder as I brake harder. One thing I did notice after looking at the pads when they are on the caliper and installed is that the outside pad is firm in place the inside one I can move around a little. I think this may be causing the noise. How do I fix this?

thats exactly what i found today as well. didnt get a chance to rip into it yet but i will tomorrow and get back to you if i find anything.

I dont really know what to tell you because i went for a ride today and like magic, its back to normal. So now im confused as to how it happened but i guess as long as its not doing it anymore im fine with leaving it alone.
