Front isolator, how long does it last?

As the title says, for those of you that have had your front isolator/engine mount fail on your XB, how many miles did it fail at?

Also, did anyone who had a bike with higher mileage that replaced their isolator (not one that had failed and dropped) and notice a reduction in vibes? As in one that was worn and might have a few small cracks but not bad enough to have given out.

Thanks,
Spencer

haven't seen or read of any cases of front isolator failures...I have over 64k on my '03 9s and the isolator looks fine, have removed the frame a few times and not noticed any issues

I replaced mine at approx. 9k miles, it hadn't gone completely bad, but it was definitely on its way out. So I replaced it with the newer updated version. They changed the design a little bit on the later years.

did you happen to get pics of it?

I changed one on a friends 09 Uly at about 6000 miles, he was complaining of extra vibration, not a big job.

I've got some noticeable vibes in the lower RPM range, mainly when decellerating for stop lights and whatnot. I know theres always vibes but just wondering if a fresh front isolator would help cut down on this low rpm/slowing down vibes. When I am on the powerband there are no vibes at all, slowing down/2000 RPM or less its pretty rough, idle is typical buell vibes.

Anyone know what else might cause more vibes when slowing down/lower RPMs?

rsm I rode it and it did vibrate, the mount had separated and dropped down onto the bolt head/ washer. The new mount made it a lot smoother .
