Front Isolator Thread reducing rubber insert

I have a 2003 xb9s. I just spoke to my local buell shop and they tell me I had to purchase a bracket assembly that includes the front isolator bracket and insert. Is this correct? To me that's like saying I have to buy new rims everytime I buy tires. Thanks

they are correct, it's one unit. you want the entire upgraded bit anyway, especially on an '03

EDIT: here's a pic of old (left) vs. the upgraded unit (right). little tough to tell but the insert and bracket are designed much better.
