As I am trying to remove my front wheel, it seems that the axle is stuck to the bearings - the axle moves freely within the fork tubes, but the wheel will not allow it to slide out. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.

penetrating oil, spinning, and wiggling it should do the trick but make sure to lub it a bit when reinstalling to prevent this for next time.

Lube as in oil /grease may not be the best thing. I always use Antisieze, doesn't break down as fast.WD-40 is a HUGE nay nay! Wayne

Thanks for all the advise. Unfortunately, it was too stuck, so I ended up taking the forks off with the wheel still attached and then taking it apart - not a big deal, I am rebuilding the forks anyway. And I will be sure to grease the axle when it all goes back together. Again, thanks.
