So, after much frustration, headaches, screaming, pounding, grinding, and trips to the hardware store my Uly is back together. Almost.

Somehow my rear key cylinder and the plug for my key switch seems to have disappeared. I think the damn yard gnomes hid them on me. Seriously, how does something like that vanish into thin air?

This is also a 2 part post... we need to hurry up and get that dealer section going. I can't WAIT to flame the living hell out of the local dealer. Check this out:

I think they missed the part where the whole ****ing back of the bike is shifted an inch to the left. Oh, and they failed to quote a new rim that's dinged up. And the scuffed airbox cover, chin fairing, front for guards, forks, etc, etc, etc. I swear if they had their head any further up their ass they could see daylight out the other end.

So, long story short, I take off for Upper Michigan tomorrow night, then on to Milwaukee Thursday evening and my bike isn't done yet.

BTW, a primary cover off of an XB9 (or whatever phrogg has) will not fit on a XB12x without some modifications. It appears that whatever bike that came off of has a smaller diameter shifter shaft. I had to take a 5/8" drill bit after it, along with a dremel to remove about an 1/8 of meat off the back side of it to make clearance for the bushing I had to use off the old cover.

There is a question in here... I promise. Are all the locks on the bike keyed alike? Ignition, Gas cap, helmet lock, seat lock?

ARGH! I should have just let my insurance buy me a new bike. Im going the hell to bed.

Mine was like that too. Just loosen up the 4 allen head bolts on the seat rail and move it over then tighten them back up, It will move quite a bit.
