Mine is a 2004 XB12s and already put 44km(28mi) with ligh on with revs at 3000-3500.

Thanks for the responces, i hit 17kms and didnt want to chance pushing it so i filled up, at least its not a Vrod those things are F ing heavey

i did 68 km (42.5 miles) on mine. :D
Earlier this season I had issues with my battery, so i could not stop the bike to fill up[smirk]
i managed to get home just fine.

The next day i filled up, it was the first time i paid close to 19.57$ to fill the bike and the gas was cheap that day lol.

I know this is 6 year old post but all I could find on the topic in a search... has anyone gone 40 miles on their FireBolt XB9R into the low fuel light? Helpful to know since I only like fuel from one particular station.

um.. nobody? nothing?
cricket... cricket... cricket

Ok lets ride motorcycle! http://joshspector.com/now-this-is-a-great-commercial/

There are a lot of variables in play, like riding style, mods, fuel mapping, what year you 9 happens to be, so your mileage won't be the same as someone else's.

As anecdotal info, I put 36 highway miles on my '03 SL before filling up after the light came on. My bike had the "Race Map" flashed to it and I had a K&N filter and a very slightly modified stock exhaust with somewhere between 12k and 17k miles.

I can go exactly 42 miles on my 1125, 38 miles on an XB-12S, and 42 miles on an XB-12Ss. All with race maps and exhaust. Believe it or not, none of those were tests on purpose:black_eyed:

I would think 30 miles is oK for a XB-9, but avoid it if you can (is it worth it?). I never pass a station when the light is on. They are notoriously inaccurate. Or if the light comes on and then it sits for awhile...

Why do you like fuel from a "particular station"? Even if it's 10 cents more/gal, thats only ><.40¢ more total.
