Flashed the race map the other night and now my bike runs like crap(pulls stronger low down, but won't/splutters above 4.5k) before I revert to stock I was wondering if there's anything I missed out, all I done was flashed the fuel map after following the video in the how to section.

Do I need to reset AFV or force it to run closed loop, if so how do I?

yep copied the timing maps, didn't bother with a tps reset as my tsp is set up nicely, I think it was running lean with the previous map and the afv racked it up richer and now I've burned a richer map it's running super rich and just needs time to adjust itself or I need to adjust it/reset it.

if you flashed just the maps.
.... you didnt alter tps settings .... its not that.

go get my excel file from the downloads page. maps difference. other stuff is there also...

load your stuff there and see what you have.

you may have the correct map but the race version was intended for japan or ECT their was a difference.

The stock timing works better on a race fuel IMO and according to the 5 gas analyzer... However, just because it says race doen not mean a thing. if the stock fuel is matched to your bike better the other one will run crappy no matter what. Its also very bad to get a map made on a dyno on a different bike other than your own. Especially somewhere else at different weather conditions and altitudes. Thats no more than a guess. sure its maped to the same brand of bike same pipe but was that one wron out or brand new. was its valves dirty of clean. what fuel type and additives? Just a risky mess...

to get the whole fuel with out copying the timing copy the map to excel front and rear. then load your stock map back to the bike. now go high lite the front in excel and tick the top left of the front map. put curser over map. press ctrl v. repete for rear with rear map. now burn and try.

my first rodeo...lol "not"

Someone was Octo's teacher in the bikes ecm...

thanks for the info xopti, but I found the problem, somehow the timing maps didn't burn properly leaving everything after 4500 as 0's, fortunately I backed up my standard maps and it's all good to go again, I'll be attempting to reburn the maps once I get home.

Just had a chance to read over you post properly, i understand what your saying about different maps for different bikes but i just wanted to find myself a baseline for tuning, the bikes sorted again now, just burned the race maps again and this time everything went as it should.
