Hey guys,
2004 firebolt, K&N, Special Ops pipe, Fuel Maps have been tuned (seem very close, very little back fire)

I'm only getting about 100 miles to a tank... that seems very low. When I bought the bike (everything was installed already) I was only getting around 85 miles to a tank. I picked up ECMSpy and tuned the fuel maps, eliminated many of my problems, but my fuel mileage still seems low. Is this a normal range, or do I still have some work to do tuning? I even had it tuned to a perfect 100 AFV. Am I missing something?

my 07 12r gets about 150 before my fuel light comes on I'm running a k&n, jardine, changed my fuel maps

My light came on for the first time last night at 128 miles. It's a stock 2003 xb9s. Otherwise I just fill up when the trip odo hits 100 miles, and it usually takes 2 gallons even.

Light usually comes on at ~140. It just all depends how you ride. Did a 500 mile trip just last week. MPG ranged from 70 on a highway to 55 on the slab.

i usually only make 120 on my 04 12R before the light and that was stock and with mods, it hasn't changed at all

I only have the exhaust but my 9sx gets about 50mpg's, about 130 until the light comes on and about 170 until I am pushing it to a shell station.

Either I ride harder than you guys (HIGHLY doubt it :)) or I need to locate the cause. Thanks all [up]

Buell tanks from 03 to 05 have the cut out for the intake which hold about 2.7 gal of gas, 06 to 10 have it covered which hold about 3.2 gal of gas which get higher gas miledge. you may look at your map also you may have a map that brings out a hugh power output from you engine and that requires more fuel usage.

My 03 always shows the light around 105, I can get another 45 miles or so after that. Later models have a bigger tank I believe. Mine is 3.77 gallons.

Wife's 09XB12r hit 150 before the light went on...another 22 before she filled up. Cant remember how much it took.

yeah my 05 gets about 100-120 before the light comes on..thats with the 2.7 gal tank
Don't forget there's a 1 gallon reserve so it's 3.77 total. Really it's not a reserve tank per se, the light just goes one when there is 1 gallon remaining.

I get about 145-150 miles when the light comes on, then its just about 3 gals to fill up with my 2003 xb9s

My last fill up, the light came on at 145 miles, about 50mpg. Thats with some hard riding for datalogging. 07 k&n d&d

I just recently rode from Roanoke Va to Myrtle Beach SC. I got 57 MPG total trip mileage with town cruising and a LOAD of gear.

I've ran out before when my bike was Supposed to have 0.3 gal left....

I've only gone 38 miles with my fuel light on ;)

edit: 2004 XB12R with K&N,ceramic coated header and Race pipe, Race program on Race ECM, 25,000+ miles and counting.
