Hey everyone,
my xb9r has had a progressivly worsening fuel oddity over the last month. Until recently when the fuel was low the bike would not start unless I picked it up off the kick stand. When I do this, it cranks fine. Today I had the problem but the bike would not fire. After re-charging my battery I put a gallon of fuel in the bike and it started fine...Suspecting my Low Fuel sensor was the problem I rode the bike up to the gas station expecting the tank to need another 1.5 gallons to get the tank at least full to base of the fuel next..instead I barley got .8 gallons in the tank this tells me the tank wasn't low yet. So I am wondering is this a fuel pump issue or could the pickup screen be the problem? For now I am going to run two bottles of fuel injector cleaner in progressive tank fills through and see if it helps.
Thanks,
Ned Williams
