Place in FL has gas at $5.80............ close to what you guys pay over in Europe.

I know when I went through Frankfurt, Germany back in 2003 we got to go out on the town for a couple nights and some guys were like man gas is only like $1, I quickly pointed out that it was for a liter not a gallon then they all shut their mouths

I cant imagine paying that much for gas and having my big as truck. I run e85 just to try and keep the money from making it to money hungry oil comapnies[smirk]

My bike is my only vehicle at the moment so I am not complaining that much. Though it would be nice if the gas stations would stop putting corn in the gas because my bike hates it. There is only one corn free gas station that I know of which is by my house but it does me no good when I go for a long ride.

I only have 1 that carries e85, I wish all of them did around me, then the price on that might go down a little, it tends to hover about 55¢ less than regular gas. To break even cash wise for the drop in MPG I need it to be 60¢ less.

e whatever, in MI ethanol is hard to find

firebolt, usually 92/93 octane wont have ethanol in it. I live in Minnesota and just about every gas station here has ethanol both the e10 added to some blends and e85 also.

The cost of gas, although expensive relative to what we're used to, is way below the rate of inflation. Consider this a market adjustment, like the housing bust.

Gas went up what, about 20-30 percent in the past two years? How much more is the middle class making on average in the same time? If they didn't get cut in 08/09... :-/

Yeah, this sucks. The wife has a Jeep Hemi Commander, I got a v8 F150. It looks like the bike will be the only way to go for a while. Maybe she will see the issue with fuel and she'll go buy a firebolt!
