Correct me now, But I thought that the thunderstorms were only the 1203's. Also the black frames were exclusive, and the big front caliper. did the newer xb's come like this at all?

984's were Thunderstorm's as well. 98-02 Tubers (1200cc) had Thunderstorm heads and 04+ Buells (984 and 1203) had Thunderstorm engines.

I believe 08+ had 8-piston calipers, the ZTL-2 system. Those photos show a 6-piston caliper on an '09. [confused]

Though Google shows lots of black-framed '09 XB9SX with a 6-piston caliper.

I'd have a good conversation and VIN check before offering money.

the ztl-2 caliper appeared in 2008 on 1125 models. it then appeared on certain 2009-2010 models but not all of them...just select models. the caliper in the ad pic is correct for a 2009 SX city cross. here's your vin info. to verify what you're considering buying.

Thankyall. Its been a while since i've poked around. Love the black forks and frame, but i'm thinking i'm gonna hold out for an 08+ xb12s. So mad I had to let my last two go. [down][down]
